So, Zack and I had an incredible honeymoon in Costa Rica! I know most people had no idea we were getting eloped, well, surprise! I even had proposed to Zack (got down on one knee and everything, but that is a story for another day!). Between working full-time, running two businesses and marriage, Costa Rica was the perfect opportunity for us to relax, unwind, and embark on an adventure. Costa Rica’s captivating landscapes, rich biodiversity, and warm hospitality made it an ideal destination for our romantic getaway! We both had very much wanted somewhere tropical and new, and I had always wanted to visit and go scuba diving. We found this resort called Rio Perdido and it was fantastic! It was tucked away in the forest and was one of the most amazing places I have ever been, along with having the most amazing customer service we have ever seen. We even left with some pictures with the employees because we ended up becoming friends with many of them. While in Costa Rica, we had an exciting itinerary, that included scuba diving at the Carolinas Isles and ziplining in the vibrant rainforests of Monteverde. We also hiked a nature preserve to see local volcanoes, although clouds obstructed the view from the top. I had captured a lot of wildlife photography and I absolutely loved it, except running around the rainforest in the pouring rain to find a toucan, and not be able to even capture one image sadly. Each day brought new and unforgettable memories, allowing us to tailor our honeymoon experience to our interests as a couple. We encountered diverse wildlife in their natural habitats, soaked in natural hot springs, and embraced Costa Rica’s pura vida lifestyle. The laid-back ambiance, delicious cuisine, and friendly encounters with locals added to the charm of our honeymoon. Also, if you ever visit, the coffee is phenomenal there and everything is Pura Vida; which in my opinion is similar to hakuna matata! We fully embraced the philosophy of embracing life’s simple pleasures and cherished each moment of our time together. Our honeymoon in Costa Rica exceeded our wildest dreams, filled with romance, adventure, and tranquility. The memories and experiences from this extraordinary journey will forever hold a special place in our hearts as the epitome of love and we won’t forget waking up to the howler monkeys cries and relax in the forest in our hammocks, drinking coffee and enjoying the pure life of Costa Rica.
