On Saturday, I recently had the opportunity to immerse myself in the world of winemaking by photographing the beginning of the grape harvest at Gauthier Vineyard. What an extraordinary blend of nature, craftsmanship, and community it turned out to be! So, grab a glass of your favorite Gauthier vintage (obviously, I recommend Sweet Beau) and let’s journey through the lens into this enchanting process. The Gauthier Vineyard is next to Colonial Williamsburg as one of my favorite places to be in Williamsburg, Virginia. This year, Zack is working with Gauthier and volunteering to help with the grape harvest! We have been very honored to be able to work so closely with Gauthier and capturing the behind the scenes of the grape harvest was just awesome! I have so many posts I need to catch up on...
This graduation session was at ODU! Kristina was absolutely awesome and a natural at posing. 😊
It felt so surreal being back on campus; it made me want to potentially pursue another degree. The whole atmosphere of universities always make me want to learn, and I think a big portion of that comes from the students and how excited they are to make a difference. I absolutely adore it. 🖤

Also, I graduated from ODU with a bachelor's in science with a major in criminal justice, so... Go Monarchs. 🦁

Lydia + Thomas ❤️

I have been honored to be able to capture a few life moments from this sweet family! From a Christmas mini to an engagement, to finally their elopement! I want to also say that I appreciate their trust in me as their photographer to capture the elopement images because Yorktown Beach was absolutely packed! You wouldn't be able to tell that from these images, thank goodness! It was a crazy day. We even saw a truck's bumper get ripped off simply trying to get in the garage parking in Yorktown. Regardless, we had a lot of fun, and I'll always be grateful to capture these beautiful moments with my Couples and their children. ❤️

#furbabyfriday ! I wanted to do a mini series of m

#furbabyfriday ! I wanted to do a mini series of my furbabies! First up, Lilo! Lilo is the oldest out of my 3 furbabies.
Fun facts: she grew up with a raccoon, her favorite toys are shiny balls and a stuffed banana (or my paint brushes, little brat), and her favorite place to sleep is in the middle of the floor on her back; and finally, she was born almost solid white! Lilo turns 8 years old in November, and she is also on her weight loss journey. 😅 She is the sweetest cat I have ever had and extremely social as well! I love her so much, and should probably talk about her more. 😅
That's Lilo! Do any of you have cats? I'd love to see pictures and know any fun quirks about that! When Lilo was a kitten, she use to RUN UP MY WALLS AND RIP MY PICTURES DOWN 🙃. Now she just steals all my paint brushes instead.

I appreciate everyone's patience as I catch up on my posts! I wanted to share this mini session from a little bit ago!
I love Colonial Williamsburg's historic charm, and I adore being able to shoot there frequently. The Palacios's family mini session was great! The golden hour's soft, diffused light showered the family in a peaceful ambiance, making each frame a timeless work of art. You simply can not beat the backdrop of the Governor's Palace and all the variety of backgrounds that Colonial has to offer. Luis, Blanca, and Alex were awesome, and I was thrilled to catch up with them! To see a little more regarding their session and what I think of Colonial, head to the blog!

As a Williamsburg wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of attending the Gauthier Vineyard Wedding Showcase—a true photographer’s dream! The stunning vineyard served as a perfect backdrop for the wedding displays, and the overall atmosphere exuded a peaceful elegance. Every vendor involved contributed to making this showcase an unforgettable experience!

Gauthier Vineyard, located in New Kent County, Virginia, is a family-owned working farm, equestrian center, and vineyard that offers a unique wedding venue. I simply adored this venue; and Zack and I are now dedicated customers to the vineyard and love spending time on their porch drinking their wine (Sweet Beau is the best, personally in my opinion!). Autumn, you are on a plane headed to Costa Rica? What are you doing?
I'm posting this amazing family! I wanted to share some from Karam's gallery before my vacation, but here we are! This session was so much fun! We started in Yorktown Battlefield and then moved to Yorktown Beach, some of my favorite locations for shoots. Just look at those colors! It was awesome to also FINALLY be able to meet Karam and her family! If you've been on my account, you've seen Karam before because Autumn Hefner Photography, LLC, had shot her wedding! But, that was an associate who had shot the wedding, sadly because I was unavailable last minute (also, that doesn't happen often!). So it was wonderful to work with the family directly for the first time!

I wanted to be one of the first to say: Congratulations to Addie + Christian Parker for their elopement in Hawaii!

This will always be one of my favorite sessions of all time; because this is my best friend and the equivalent to my sister! We have been best friends since 8th grade and both had moved to south GA from other states. She has been one of the closest people in my life and I'm beyond grateful she has found someone to love her for her genuine self. All I have ever wanted was for her to be happy and to find that special someone. Fun fact: I helped design Addie's ring! I used different example images of rings she would send me (because she knew that one day, Christian would reach out and we could get a ring created, but she never had a clue when it would be). I was beyond ecstatic when Christian reached out to me and we began the process of working together to create this stunning ring with the help of Nick from Kingsmill Jewelers in Williamsburg, VA. Nick created the ring and was absolutely fantastic in shipping it to Christian for the proposal! They got engaged in Glacier National Park, and I literally just waited anxiously to get the call or text that she was engaged and if she loved the ring. Flash forward, she absolutely adores her ring! Overall, I am absolutely beyond proud of these two and the 7 amazing years they have already created together. I wish I was there to see you get married (or photograph it!), but I'm proud nevertheless and happy it is just you two in this moment. Cheers to more years and memories to come: Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Parker! ❤️

I don't usually shoot newborn sessions. However, I have a couple of times, and I am really looking into offering the service in the future! I did a session on little Ainslee Clare Cook, AKA, the most precious little baby I have worked with. She was absolutely adorable and so sweet! Fun Fact: I actually shot my own graduation photo (AKA I set the camera up and told someone where to stand and told them to click the button). I don’t talk about how much I really enjoy Graduation/ graduate sessions as often as I wish I did. Graduate sessions always make me feel more inspired to do more in the world, because I work with all these awesome fresh graduates who are pursuing a better future. As my clients know, I love talking and learning more about them during sessions, and when I am talking to a college or high school graduate, I’m learning their next aspects of life. This is a question I've received lately that I wasn't sure if I should make a blog post on...
Does Booker Howl? Yes!
Booker does howl, but only if he hears a recording of his family members howling (I'm still friends with the family I got him from), or if Zack gets on over the camera and talks to him. Am I a little jealous? That Booker will instantly throw his head back and howl for Zack when he hears him? Yes, just a little. 😅 Booker didn't use to howl often: through the years, he would only howl if I left the house, and it was very rare I'd catch it. I had discovered he would howl when I played a video of his mom howling from when he was a very small puppy (which is really sad🥲). Since then, Booker howls more often when he hears Zack talk to him or hears his family howling!

Ariana and Mikey have been added to the blog and I thought I'd share some more images!
Let me just repeat myself that Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, is one of the best areas to have a session in; especially if it is your engagement session! I met Ariana and Mikey by the William and Mary University and proceeded towards the Sunken Gardens to start our session. Also, Mikey and Ariana are TROOPERS. It was so incredibly cold and rainy during this session, and there wasn’t a single moment these two weren’t smiling and happy. Head over to the blog to read more!
