Elopements have gained immense popularity over the years, offering couples like Zack and I, an intimate and personal way to tie the knot! Yorktown Beach, nestled in the picturesque coastal town of Yorktown, Virginia, is one of the coolest places to capture elopement photos! Yorktown Beach was the perfect setting for Lydia and Thomas with the sandy shores, tranquil waterfront, and the historic charm of Yorktown! The gentle lapping of the waves and the golden hues of the sunset created the idyllic atmosphere while we were there, even if it was horrendously busy this day! As the sun dipped below the horizon, I was able to capture the beautiful colors in the sky as Lydia and Thomas and their daughter posed and played on the beach. It was a challenge to find the best areas due to the crazy crowdedness of the beach. I promised that the images wouldn’t showcase how busy it was, and the sole focus would be on them. Thank goodness they trusted me! Looking at the images below, I hope it looks like they were the sole people on the beach! I’m honored they trusted me in the process!
I adore this family, as I have been able to capture many different sessions for them; from their Christmas mini session, to the engagement and then to their elopement.
